Dr. Peter Lamb, D.Phil. (Oxon), M.Sc. (Melb.), MAIP, MInstP

Deakin University, Geelong Waurn Ponds, VIC 3216, Australia (retired)

Peter gained a B.Sc.(Hons) then M.Sc. in elementary particle physics at Melbourne University before winning a Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 Science Research Scholarship to undertake a doctorate at Oxford University, which he completed in 1976.  After returning to Australia he was employed as a Research Scientist at CSIRO in Geelong and had a 27 year career in applied science, engineering and wool textile technology, rising to be a Senior Principal Research Scientist.  After an initial retirement he became a research academic for 9 years at Deakin University in the Institute for Frontier Materials working in the areas of plasma, nano and textile technology, but mostly assisting overseas students understand the scientific method and develop skills in writing.

The initial steps in a revised understanding of gravity were taken in 2011 but needed many years to be developed and to be shown to be capable of reproducing the standard predictions of General Relativity. The changed perspectives and consequences have only been gradually appreciated over time.

We hope that you will enjoy reading and considering the information presented here and then help to improve and spread this much more satisfactory understanding of our Universe from galaxies to quarks and all that lies between.
